a better PT

Today is one of the days that I tried a lot of things I usually would not do - like critiquing myself, being involved in a role play, and especially, yoga.

Critiquing ourselves on how we teach the ACBT to a client - Assessing myself teaching became a very good reflection activity since I was able to know the things I need to improve on and the things I need to keep on doing. I have also developed a better strategy in teaching my clients in the future by providing instructions which are clearer and more concise than before. This activity gave me confidence and made me realize that I am a better PT.

Handling difficult clinical situations and proceeding with the treatment - A role play - Handling difficult situation is a vital skill a PT must possess for it will dictate the success of the session. My parter and I were tasked to teach a pediatric patient. Unfortunately, this is not my forte because I am not fully confident in handling such situations. This activity, however, changed that view. Through this activity, I realized that through establishment. I can also handle difficult situations which I am afraid to face before making me a better PT.

Ending the day with some physical activity - Modified Ashtanga Yoga. A form of an alternative exercise where we need to hold different poses and be conscious on how we breathe. The Yoga master gave very concise instructions on what to do and is very considerate on the fitness level of the learners. Teaching is something that I am not good at, but now, I have a model to follow leading me in a path to become a better PT.

The road to becoming BEST is to become better and better and better.
