A Well-executed action Stems from a Well-done Plan

Last March 23, we did an instructional design (ID) which is an structured plan about the things you will teach, how you will teach it and how will you evaluate it. This is a very important part of the process of teaching because we must have a good start in order to make the following steps easier and more organized for us.

Honestly, since it was the first time I did an ID, I found it very hard and confusing on what to do but after consulting and having an advice from our professors, it slowly became clear to me. Because of those feedbacks, I realized that there is no single correct method on how you will plan to teach clients. It will always be up to us, our resources and our capabilities on what strategies we will use in order to instill knowledge to your clients. We must do an ID considering who are clients will be and their level of competency because this will greatly help us in planning what to teach and how will we teach it.

With these in mind, in the future, i will first know my patient not only their condition but also their attitudes, behaviors, modes of learning, etc. for me to teach them effectively. I will also take extra effort in doing an ID because I know that a well-executed action stems from a well-done plan. But despite that, I will also be flexible on my teaching session because anything unplanned can happen. The most important thing is that we have an organized plan and we learn by heart the things we will teach to our students. Trough these, we can be prepared on what the teaching session will give us.
