March 23, 2015

I have always thought that making lesson plans are bothersome. I never wanted to make something so difficult and tedious. In fact, I’m the kind of person who usually does something without a goal or objective in mind. But ever since I entered this profession, I was pushed beyond my comfort zone. I was required to do something I don’t normally do. And as I learn more about my profession, I realized how I am changing myself to become better not just for my sake but for my future clients as well.

As we have gone through the process of making an Industrial Design. I realized how I have been struggling with the limited information I have with my client. In order to set objectives, I thought that I should know of his capabilities and his background first. Furthermore, since I am assigned to an adolescent, I know that in order to facilitate his learning, I should be more focused about teaching him to do a certain task independently. I realized that the objectives are the most critical part in making an Industrial Design because this is where you will start and at the same time, end.

I actually thought that making an Industrial Design is harder than teaching itself because it requires you to be meticulous and precise. I had to consult our advisers several times to know if I am still on the right track. This activity taught me to be patient and at the same time, be critical in my decisions.

I know that making an Industrial Design requires time and honing of skills. I could never accomplish something like this if it weren’t for my advisers. Without their guidance, I would have missed a lot of things with regards to the needs my client. In fact, I might not have been able to create the right objectives for him and our session would actually occur without accomplishing anything.
